Fitment and details
On the first generation B58, the oil filter housing and the heat management module (BMW's electronic thermostat) both sit under the intake manifold. If one is leaking, the other is usually close behind, and you pay for the same teardown twice if you only do one. This kit is both jobs in one box: 12 pieces, including the 6 intake seals you need when the manifold comes off.
Plastic oil filter housings crack with age and heat, so on a higher mileage car we replace the whole housing, not just the gaskets. The housing in this kit comes with a new oil filter.

FAQ
- Is there a recall on the B58 oil filter housing? No. Leaks are a known wear item, not a recall.
- Do I have to replace both? No, but the intake manifold comes off for either one, so doing both together saves you a second teardown.
- How do I confirm it fits my car? Send us your 17-digit VIN before you order and we will confirm fit.
