Motul 6100 Syn-nergy 5W-30 questions
Is Motul 6100 Syn-nergy 5W-30 BMW approved?
Yes. Motul's own data sheet lists a formal BMW LL-01 approval and states the BMW LL-01 standard "covers all Gasoline engines running only outside European Union countries, Switzerland, Norway and Liechtenstein," which includes the US.
Is this the US Motul product?
Motul's own US product page for this item says the product is not available in the US. Motul's UK product page confirms 107970 is the 1 liter bottle and lists the same BMW LL-01 approval.
Can this go in a diesel BMW?
Not in a BMW that calls for Longlife-04. Motul's data sheet says BMW vehicles requiring an approved BMW LL-04 oil should use other Motul products, and BMW of North America's charts call for Longlife-04 oil in BMW diesels of these years.
